The Collegiate Indy Staff is happy to announce that the 2012 competition will be held at the Indiana Historical Society, located in downtown Indianapolis. The Indiana Historical Society is one of the United States' oldest and largest historical societies. Indiana's Storyteller™ is housed within the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis in The Canal and White River State Park Cultural District with neighbors such as the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. We are the oldest state historical society west of the Allegheny Mountains. The actual competition will take place in the intimate Frank and Katrina Basile Theater. Many Indianapolis arts organizations such as International Violin Competition, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Music Society and Storytelling Arts of Indiana make our 290-seat Basile Theater their home. This acoustically sound theater is the perfect venue for recitals, choral concerts, small theater productions, or the Miss Collegiate Indy Scholarship program.
